Jan Reich

 

Jan Reich has a Masters Degree in Theater with an emphasis in Children's Theatre.

 

She has instructed theater for over 25 years for many different organizations, including the Rapides Parish School Board and various summer camps. She has assistant directed most of Laine Berry Miller's productions. She possesses a vast knowledge of folk lore, childen's series, and literature in general, as she is the librarian at Alexandria Country Day School. 

 

"We will be discovering Aesop's Fables during week one. And then week two will focus on an African folktale entitled, Who's in Rabbiit's House?. Participants will discover  the joy of bringing to life the story on the written page by developing characters, making masks that reflect specific traits of your character, and interacting with the other characters. Basic theater skills will be taught through this creative, stress-free approach."

OLivia MiLLer

Olivia Miller has a Bachelors of Music, Music Theater degree from Oklahoma City University. She has performed since she was four years old, and has over 30 musicals and plays to her credit. She performed in the OCU NYC Showcase at the Alvin Ailey in New York City, shere she lives and continues to study.

 

At Oklahoma City University, Olivia performed the role of "Baker's Wife" in INTO THE WOODS, "Babe" in PAJAMA GAME, "Quintet" in SWEENEY TODD and "Ensemble/Soloist" in  JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.

 

Other favorite roles have been "Natalie" in NEXT TO NORMAL at Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre; and in LSUA's productions as "Olive Ostrovsky" in THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM SPELLING BEE, and "Martha Jefferson" in 1776. At Pineville High School she played "Peter Pan" in PETER PAN and "Jo March" in LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL.

Olivia will be coming from New York City to serve as vocal coach and assistant director for ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.

CLaire Marie MiLLer

Claire Marie Miller will assist with choreography and staging. She played TiMoune in Oklahoma City University's Summer Junior High Musical Theater Camp in 2012, and appears on the official CHOREOGRAPHY DVD for ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, JR., LEGALLY BLONDE, JR., and BY BYE BIRDE, JR. This summer she will  return to New York City to shoot the official choreography DVD's for INTO THE WOODS, JR., JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, JR., and ELF, JR.

Jordan James

 Jordan James is a native of Central Louisiana, where he began his musical performance career at an early age, with his family's gospel music group. For the past ten years, Jordan has attended and been on staff at the Stamps-Baxter School of Music in Nashville, TN, directed by Gospel Music Legend: Ben Speer. He also traveled nation wide with the well known Dixie Echoes Quartet, performing for audiences of 30,000+. Resigning from national touring, Jordan now resides in Alexandria, LA, where he teaches Theatre and Performing Arts at Alexandria Senior High School.
